Follow-up Comment #1, bug #41714 (project octave):

Additional data: Bus error happens with FLTK as well.

Bus error DOES NOT happen with gnuplot.

Starting Octave in GUI mode versus with "--no-gui" makes no difference for
FLTK and gnuplot (Qt is unavailable with --no-gui).
