Follow-up Comment #3, bug #42720 (project octave):
Either putting the files directly in etc or in a subdirectory of etc would be
OK with me.
I'd also like to eventually have a non-recursive build so eliminating a
Makefile.am file would be a bonus as far as I'm concerned.
