Follow-up Comment #16, bug #38928 (project octave):
If you see a way to hide the hid_t type, then yeah, I'm all for that.
I'm also in favor of cleaning up the set of installed header files.
And cleaning up the config.h that we install (I think there is another bug
report about that mess).
