Thanks for the quick response.

Using `doc print` in Octave 3.8.1 and 3.6.4 and the online help for 3.8.0 I
can't find any reference to 'pdflatexstandalone' though there are a few
equivalent options that I have used before.

I will use Rik's solution as I need to print to .png. Once again, thanks for
the help.
