Follow-up Comment #3, bug #43100 (project octave):
Oops now I cannot reproduce! Strange, I don't think I'll changed anything and
I tested it several times yesteryday.
# echo $LANG
en_US.UTF-8
I also just tested with a chinese input method without problem.
