Follow-up Comment #13, bug #42536 (project octave): We did not get to much specific, but the outline was to run each of the Octave commands and pipe the output into a suitable editor (sed?) which would write the correct texinfo syntax and include blocks of fixed text where they belong. This is not a lot different in principle from how the plots are generated. (of course, these could also be enhanced to cover more cases to help explain plotting and catch regressions.) Rik may have had somewhat more specific ideas.
