Follow-up Comment #2, bug #43279 (project octave):

Richard should confirm or clarify, but I think he is asking for the file to be
installed into ${datadir}/appdata and to have the same name as the .desktop
file we install into ${datadir}/applications.

So if we install ${datadir}/applications/www.octave.org-octave.desktop, we
should install ${datadir}/appdata/www.octave.org-octave.appdata.xml also.
