Follow-up Comment #3, bug #43297 (project octave):
Hmmm, the bug is filed for Mac OS. At least under Windows 7, 64 bit, MXE
Octave 3.8.2, it is working as follows:
Settings => Editor Styles => Octave Default => Font + Size O.K.
Settings => Terminal => Font + Size O.K.
