Follow-up Comment #8, bug #43495 (project octave): @Carnë / comment #6: Maybe. Mine are just plain mxe-octave builds. So what could be wrong? all dependencies have been built with the same tool chain. What I did see is that "spy (img)" and "imshow (img)" were very fast in 3.9.0+ but only showed one star in the center; on 3.8.2 both took ages and in the end a dark rectangle appeared; zooming in there lead to a blank picture. (AFAIK the actual picture should be a electronics component board.) So, not good. But before entering a bug report I'll investigate further.
