Follow-up Comment #1, bug #45327 (project octave):
We only attempt to build x11 libraries if you explicitly ask for it by
configuring mxe-octave with --enable-system-x11-libs. That's not a
well-tested option though. If it breaks there's probably a lot that needs to
be done to make it work reliably. Probably it's much simpler to just install
X11 development libraries on your system. What kind of system are you using
and building for?
