Follow-up Comment #1, bug #46059 (project octave):
gdcm-2.0.19 is really old now and looks like its been recently removed from
the website.
Two options:
1) update the mxe-octave files to a mirror of the file; or
2) update mxe-octave to compile a more recent version of gdcm.
Of course it still isnt as easy as that, as the dicom package in mxe-octave is
looking for gdcm-2.0 files to compile with, although the code for the dicom
package in source control has been updated, the released version has not.
I have a patch attached for mxe that uses gdcm 2.4.6 and patches dicom to
work with it - it compiles, however i havent tried running any dicom package
tests with it.
