Follow-up Comment #15, bug #45951 (project octave):

@Philip: I'd be happy if xmlread/write functions could go first in the IO
package. If I understand correctly they would be fitted with the same library
checks that are currently used also in spreadsheet functions.
The next step would then be wait for integration of spreadsheet functions to
core and let xmlread/write follow the same path.
