Follow-up Comment #49, bug #44187 (project octave): @ederag I don't think the intended behavior is too difficult to implement/maintain. imo, the problem is that the intended behavior isn't what would be initially expected, and those not sufficiently familiar with it introduce bugs when modifying to code. Over the years, I've introduced my share.
