Follow-up Comment #3, bug #46654 (project octave):
Has there been an attempt to get the Gnuplot folk to provide greater external
control?
It is a shame to have too many competing open source projects for plotting,
and I think that use by Octave has been a big driver for Gnuplot to be a good
package.
