Follow-up Comment #3:

Qt itself places the buttons depending on their role and the underlying window
manager. The roles of the buttons were all set to "AcceptRole". I have pushed
the patch

with more appropriate button roles. On my Ubuntu, the "Cancel" button now is
on the left side which is the common position of this button type on my
system.
