Follow-up Comment #1, bug #46809 (project octave):
It's not the right bracket but the transpose operator ' immediately following
that right bracket that seems to be responsible.
Is this reproducible? (restart Octave, try again by pasting that code in an
empty editor pane)
Anyway this works fine for me (on Windows with Octave-4.1.0+), see attached
screenshot.
