I marked this as a regression and switched the category to "plotting with
opengl".
As for the actual reason of the failure, I am clueless and don't know fltk
code at all. The reason I had forced "fltk" toolkit in the xmlread demo is
that it used to be more reliable when it comes to printing ... Any chance you
can bisect to find the responsible changeset? If so, you can probably narrow
down the search using something like "hg log -k gl2ps -l 25".
