Follow-up Comment #19, bug #47346 (project octave):
The octaverc files were already evaluated inside a try/catch block so errors
there should not caused Octave to crash either before or after my changeset.
The --debug option is really for debugging the parser. It just causes the
parser state to be printed out as it reads tokens.
