Follow-up Comment #3, bug #47352 (project octave):
The only crash in the code editor that I've seen reported and still affects
Octave is bug #42469. If the OP can confirm that this is on a system with an
international keyboard layout, we can probably consider this the same bug (in
Qscintilla2, not in Octave).
As for clicking m-files, it sounds like the OP is opening m-files from
nautilus or whatever system file browser, Octave is starting up and executing
the m-file, and then exiting (expected behavior).
