Follow-up Comment #2, bug #47372 (project octave):

@Mike: There was no change in the amount of memory leaked after your patch to
address the race condition at GUI startup.  I'm not that surprised, the leaks
reported seem to be classic failures to pair new/delete rather than
cross-thread issues.
