Follow-up Comment #4, bug #47478 (project octave):
That sounds a plausible explanation, Olaf.
I think it is important that calls to fft2 via parcellfun should "work" in
some sense, even if the solution is to have a special case that doesn't call
it in parallel. This is quite a natural thing to try, and even completely
stupid user code should not cause Octave to crash or hang.
