Follow-up Comment #60, bug #47372 (project octave): The change jwe made on stable works for me (rebuilt the default branch with --as-needed). I can confirm with readelf that none of the executables nor shared libraries have dependencies on libgomp.so.1 except for liboctinterp.so now.
