Follow-up Comment #1:
Using a German Win 7 and keyboard, I cannot enter umlauts in neither v4.0.0
nor v4.0.1 (both CLI and GUI) command line. I also tried "ALT+142" and so on.
In my regular Win CMD.exe it works. As described before, the editor can handle
UTF-8 characters.
If you reinstall v.4.0.0, can you still type umlauts? Did you do any special
configuration (e.g. usage of certain console fonts, installed some Windows
updates?)
