Follow-up Comment #100, bug #41699 (project octave): If this is a problem with loading/unloading the GraphicsMagick shared library, then I guess we could sidestep the issue by just making the functions that are defined in __magick_read__.cc core functions that are always linked with Octave instead of putting them in a dynamically linked .oct file.
