Follow-up Comment #11, bug #35881 (project octave):
Julien, I've just checked my "testpersist.m" on different Matlabs and may
confirm it's version dependent.
Starting R2015b it yields your results, but all the older versions (tried
R2014a and R2015a) shows the behavior as in comment(#6).
