Follow-up Comment #19, bug #47775 (project octave):

The correct output is shown with gcc 4.9.2 but not gcc 4.8.2 (the version I
tested in comment #15).

This means that mxe-octave already uses a version of gcc where this is fixed,
so it should not appear in the Windows builds.
