Follow-up Comment #56, bug #47974 (project octave):
@Dan: I reviewed the patch for 'box off' which also incorporates coloring of
the axes, but not the tick marks. You are right, I find it odd when sometimes
the axis is one color, sometimes it is missing if I rotate the plot, and
sometimes it is black if I use 'box on'. I think it is best to just color the
tick labels and call it a day. I'll push the slimmed down patch whenever you
upload it.
