Follow-up Comment #1:

Thanks for the bug report. Can you take a look at bug #46861 and see if the
solution/workaround in that report works for you?

Does the command window show output up until a plot command is done? Can you
try a different graphics_toolkit and report which of the 3 available shows
which behavior? Can you say what video cards and drivers are used on the two
machines, the older one that worked correctly and the newer one that shows
this problem?
