Follow-up Comment #18, bug #48172 (project octave):

Muhali: do the latest comments on this bug report match your original report?
I want to make sure we're not hijacking this report with a different unrelated
symptom.

Can someone affected on Ubuntu 14.04 try installing more texlive packages, for
example texlive-full?

This may have been caused by the recent update of the texinfo.tex macros file
from gnulib. Previous updates of texinfo.tex have required more packages to be
installed, e.g. texlive-fonts-recommended.

If installing more TeX packages helps resolve this, it would be very helpful
if someone could identify exactly what packages need to be installed to
provide the functions necessary to build.
