Update of bug #48294 (project octave):
Status: None => Confirmed
Summary: pkg update does not handle forign packages well. =>
pkg update errors on non-forge packages
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
Output when trying to update with a locally installed package named
"nothing":
>> pkg update
error: get_forge_pkg: package not found: "nothing". Maybe you meant
"mapping?"
error: called from
get_forge_pkg at line 84 column 5
pkg at line 542 column 27
And the entire pkg update transaction errors out at that point. It should
instead just print a warning that a given package was not found on the Octave
Forge server and continue updating the rest of the packages.
