Follow-up Comment #13, bug #48689 (project octave):

Thanks for your comments, Dan. I have absolutely no problems with the gnuplot
qt terminal and its export functions. I wouldn't think of using anything else
to produce Octave graphics for PDF presentation---which is what I plan to do
with my original example.
