Follow-up Comment #30, bug #37053 (project octave):


plot(1:10)
print -depsc test.eps


Execute "system bash" 

$ pstoedit -f emf test.eps test.emf
$ pstoedit -f fig test.eps test.fig
$ fig2dev -L emf test.fig test2.emf 


test.emf accepted by MS-paint
test2.emf rejected by MS-paint

So this is fig2dev  issue.
