Update of bug #48815 (project octave):
Summary: Unable to install odepkg-dev => mkoctfile -p F77 is
empty (unable to compile Fortran sources, install packages with Fortran)

Follow-up Comment #2:
This was mentioned a day or so ago on #octave as well. The problem is because
the F77 variable has become empty in mkoctfile due to some recent change. I
believe the relevant changeset may be
http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/66dd260512a4, whicih shuffled
around a lot of configure.ac having to do with compiler initialization and
options.
