Details:

This is more a question than a bug: 
Java version to compile the interface is still 1.3. 
I had a look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_version_history
and found out that 1.3 was 2000-2002. 

I would like to vote for upgrade at least 1.5 
for several reasons: 
- take advantage of progress 
- keep maintainable. 

The current version is really historical.
