Follow-up Comment #8, bug #49118 (project octave):
I can confirm that a self-built version of Octave on Linux using Qt5 passes
the inputdlg test in comment #3. A self-built MXE version fails on Windows,
but it is built with Qt4. I rebuilt Octave on Linux using the configure
option '--with-qt=4'. This version now fails.
I'm adding jwe and JohnD to the CC list for this bug. It seems like it would
be useful to build the MXE version with Qt5.
