Follow-up Comment #18, bug #49130 (project octave):

I agree for consistency we should cast clim to double in the True Color branch
of the if statement.

I'm using gnuplot 5.0.1 which I think does have a few problems.  If the
examples from comment #2 work for you now then I'll just ignore my machine.
