Follow-up Comment #22, bug #49118 (project octave):

I've found the changeset that makes this happen:

"allow building with Qt5 (bug #40252)" by jwe.

Using the repo version before this changeset makes both bugs (umlaut folders
in GUI editor and inputdldg with umlauts) disapper in my Linux built (with
qt4). Applying this single changeset makes both discussed bugs appear.
