Follow-up Comment #14, bug #52074 (project octave):
masking was only thought of as an option because we were just implementing a
'quick' wrapper to satisfy compatibility. It was always my opinion that an
efficient integrator would require avoiding dblquad and triplequad and
re-coding the integral function directly. I expect that will still be required
to get a fully compatible version of integral if you want to take a look at
that. (bug #42037)
If your integral2 is all m-code I can give it a once over.
