Follow-up Comment #8, bug #52260 (project octave):
Disabling "Accelerate 3D graphics" in the VM settings also solves the issue.
That might be equivalent to starting Octave with "LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1
./run-octave"?
So is it valid to conclude that this is an issue with the vmware graphics
driver?
