Follow-up Comment #1, bug #52768 (project octave):

Correction. The tic values were not really bold. I was
accidentally writing them 3 times. But, the title()
still comes out bold. However, I notice that the "demo subplot"
does the same thing. It appears that the title() is
unconditionally bold. Is this intentional?
