Follow-up Comment #4:
@Dan: all units but "normalized" make use of the root "screenpixelsperinch" to
compute the onscreen size of the object. So yes, even though this behavior may
change slightly for Matlab compatibility (see bug #49627), all units but
"normalized" will always be absolute in the sense that their interpretation
don't depend on their parent (figure, axes ...) size.
Closing report as invalid.
