Follow-up Comment #2, bug #52837 (project octave):
I agree. I think all the hard work you put into making all of the public
headers work without config.h should be concluded ultimately by not installing
config.h anymore.
In Octave 4.0, including config.h was required. In the 4.2 release config.h
was changed into an empty stub that declares a deprecation warning. Is it too
soon to delete this file with the 4.4 release?
