Details:
This is a regression from 4.2.1 where this worked.
Start a new Octave GUI session
./run-octave -f
edit junk
A Save dialog window appears to be created, but the interior is blank and
there is a beachball-like icon indicating a wait. Eventually I just kill the
process.
This happens to be with KDE and Oxygen widgets if that matters.
