Follow-up Comment #69, bug #49053 (project octave):

John's proposal in comment #68 sounds reasonable to me. But I'd ignore gnuplot
for now. The gnuplot window can be resized manually and there is no way for
Octave to detect the change.

I'd also be ok with ignoring HiDPI on FLTK for the moment. We may end up
dropping support for FLTK with HiDPI finds its way into the distributions. If
not this decision would encourage FLTK be dropped sooner than later.
