Follow-up Comment #5, bug #52758 (project octave):
Thanks for checking.
The fix solves the reported problem (deosn't work with row vector) but
introduced a new bug, namely the saphe of the returned argument.
Fixing this I realized that when the shift was an integer the filter
specification wa signored. I fixed both things in the latest commit
feea2b59072f
I also added a test. Please check
