Follow-up Comment #4, bug #52935 (project octave):
I crossed with Philip's message. (Didn't reload the page before submitting.) I
wasn't aware that an implementation of winqueryreg already exists in the
windows package. Thank you for the hint.
CC'ing John Donoghue as the package maintainer: What is your opinion on moving
"winqueryreg" from the windows package to core Octave? I don't think there
would be too much of a compatibility hassle since as far as I can see, a
version that includes this function was never released.
