Follow-up Comment #10, bug #52940 (project octave):

I'd prefer to not undo the change.  I don't recall precisely, but I think it
solved other problems.

Let's figure out what's causing the difference and try to fix that.

It is certainly suspicious that the size changes after the first call for both
the new and the old Qt wrapper widgets.
