1) you have QT5?
yes, I have qt5, more precisely version 5.10 on macOS via homebrew (I have
mentioned that many times in this thread and did not replace it by qt4 in the
mean time :)
2) you re-ran the autogen after applying the patch to get the configure
changes in there to look for QScreen::devicePixelRatio?
yes, I started from a fresh checkout and recompiled from scratch with patch
#43077. The patch is present which is proven by the fact that I see the
correct scaling if use the hidpi-screen only. I also confirmed in comment #52
that I see the correct configure message.
