Follow-up Comment #3, bug #52985 (project octave):
I can not reproduce the crash on Ubuntu, neither with Unity nor KDE.
Could you please try the attached patch? If I interpret the backtrace and the
code correctly you should now see a dialog box with the codec you are trying
to use for saving the file. What is the exact name of this codec?
