Follow-up Comment #13, bug #52988 (project octave):
Is Autofit ever truly turned off? I checked the preferences and the checkbox
is unchecked. However, when I do this
x = magic (3);
openvar x
# Columns are sized to a particular value large enough to hold an integer
x(2,1) = pi;
# First column resizes to hold floating point value.
# I didn't expect that
